Hands-down, the best shakes in the Coos Bay Area. Unfortunately, their burgers are just OK, and their service is SLOOOOOOOOW. Granted, it's made-to-order food, but I've had to wait 15-20 minutes to order and receive a burger and a shake. That's a bit redicilous.

Old School hamburger joint. Nothing fancy. Want a Milk shake with that chili dog? They got it. Want some onion rings with that cheeseburger? They got it. They even had the special of the day. "Baby chicken sandwich with fries." I just couldn't order the special knowing that a baby chicken was stuffed in a sandwich just for me. No thank you...I'll pass. :P SOOooo....I just ordered a simple cheeseburger. For about $4.00... this includes all the toppings on a thin hamburger patty...Cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions and mayo. It was ok. Nothing to write home about.

Wife and kid liked it. I found it comparable to Sonic drive inns. I do agree with another posted that these burgers aren't formed by hand with fresh ground meat. The burgers are preformed and frozen before being cooked. This place would never make it on FoodTV's DDD, but I'll still visit again with the family.

The food here is always good ! The service is really great as well. Their menu has a good variety of things. King cheese is good and so is their popcorn chicken. You can't go wrong here with anything you order. Their fry sauce is yummy too ! They have a drive up window in the back that is convenient. Don't forget to have a shake with your burger.

Always a great experience. Simple, yet satisfying. Bruiser Burger has always been my favorite. Great value.

I love this place! Everytime im in Coos Bay this is one of my must haves. Love the "Bay Burger Special" the burger is huge...two patties with melted cheese...mmmm soo good! The patties are very thin but the size of the burger is huge. Has great flavor and they used to offer this burger with complimentary fries cuz the burger is so big. Wish I had a picture but I havent been to this place in 10 years. ;(

The menu is super straight forward, burgers, fries, onion rings, hot dogs, shakes, and some other random items. I had the cheese burger basket and a chocolate shake, it was not bad, not flashy and crazy and absolutely perfect, but just a good old fashioned burger! Super basic but it was good, I was incredibly skeptical, but just a good burger for a good price and that's okay with me! And the lady behind the counter was super nice

Very much enjoyed the burger and fry basket. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. While not the best burger I have ever had the price was reasonable and I did not leave hungry.

no frills and very dated, but you get a good basic burger and fries. Our service was really fast too and our wait time was minimal. I thought prices were reasonable also. This place really needs a facelift, but if you don't care much about that kind of thing, the food was basic and good.

Not happy eating here. Although prices were affordable the bay burger was flavorless. The avacado was obviously not ripe and should not have been offered. Shake was decent. If you want a great burger go to yeongs place in North Bend.

There has been a burger joint here for decades. If you go to other cities you will see places that used to be burger joints turned into other uses but thankfully for us in Coos Bay, we got to keep the old place movin' along serving burgers and for even more luck, these are the kinds of burgers one would have eaten in this area before we got buried in McDonald's, Burger Kings and Wendy's. No Dollar Value Menu here, just good old-fashioned burgers from your basic burger to a large bun burger with your choice of double patties or a patty plus hot dog, ham or bacon. Order the bigger burger and you will be stuffed! The fries are okay by themselves but it's the secret fry sauce that makes 'em so delicious! The portion served is just right too. Plenty of other typical fare is on the menu like fish, hot dogs and such but if you don't get a burger here, you are Missing Out Big Time! Now that Obama has asked the FDA to not allow downer cows into the beef supply, you can now enjoy one of life's more guilty pleasures, a good regular burger without having to worry about mad cow and other such stuff. Organic beef is still the way to go but there isn't any of that in Coos Bay, so make your burger a Bay Burger Inn burger to get the best of what we do have here! Orders to go cheerfully done and nicely packaged too!

Don't be fooled by what it looks like on the outside. The burgers are great and so are the fries! They make their own sauces and I loved the fry sauce. Very friendly staff and the service was excellent. We got our burgers quickly and without mistakes. We will definitely go back when we visit Coos Bay again!

There's nothing too special about this place. The patties taste like they've been in the freezer and the service is slow.

Banana milkshakes, any of their burgers, and fries are amazing.

My husband loves the Bay Burger Special here. The customer service is really nice and I enjoy the fact that I can take my clients in wheelchairs there. Their price are not that bad either, There fry sauce is delicous and their shakes are great too.

I have fond memories of this place from high-school, but this is not the same place. First, as you walk into the building, you get the beautful smell of hamburgers cooking on a flat-top grill, but the experience goes downhill from there. The person behind the counter seemed distant and had no idea about the menu and if they did, she wasn't sharing it with us. When we got our order placed, had to clean our own table. Next in my list of gripes, our food took forever to come out, which is understandable because it was fairly busy, but our burgers were cold. That was in stark contrast to our fries, which I can only estimate at about 500 degrees. I would have brought the problems with the food temperature to the attention of somebody, but a large party came in and they seemed behind with the large family came in. Overall, I was not pleased with my visit and will not be returning to this establisment.

This is a great place to get a burger or hot dog. Their portions are perfect -- not too big, not too small. They have a very interesting fry sauce too. Their hot dogs are long! Their criss-cut fries are excellent too! Everytime we go in, they are always doing some kind of cleaning, so the staff is working hard to keep the place tidy. Although it's not a "full service" restaurant, they do bring the food directly to your table. I'd recommend coming here for lunch!

Looking for burgers as we swung through Coos Bay on our way out of Sunset Bay State Park, we saw the sign for burgers, milkshakes, onion rings, etc. We pulled up to this low key little diner/burger hut, and scanned the menu which contained the usual selection of all things deep fried. Husband hand a burger and fries. The burger was good old fashioned diner burger bliss, with slim crisp fries served up in wax paper lining a small cardboard basket. Worth the money. Tasty. My dinner of clam strips and tots came with a piece of garlic bread (Texas toast with fake butter and garlic-salt... yummy in its own right but not quality if ya know what I mean). Given that to trade fries for tots cost $2, it made the meal really overpriced for what it was. The clam strips were overcooked and there was not many, and the tots serving was small, too. Bummer. The place is simple, dominated by Formica and paneling. But it's neat as a pin and clean, very clean. As we sat munching our lunches, we saw a swift business come in to order carry out burgers, and many, many orders for shakes! There doesn't appear to be many options in the area aside from the chains. I'd recommend it for a lunch.

There are a few things I can say. Of the several times we have been to get a burger, it has NEVER been right. Missed this (bacon) missed that (cheese) or missed both. Obviously they are doing their most for the community by hiring the *specal* kids. Not helping the business...

Sometimes your best bet is a little off the beaten path and not real fancy. Good old fashion burgers are the mainstay and they do a good job. The beer battered onion rings were very tasty! Friendly people to boot!
(3)Shannon G.
Nope! That's not going to happen again! Greasy, tasteless burgers. Gave my husband and I both upset stomachs!
